Important Notice: Scam Email Impersonating Me

This screenshot is an email one of my clients received from a scammer. Please note: this is NOT me. Someone is currently impersonating me and contacting my clients with fake “Wix compliance” notices and payment requests.

I want to make sure you know exactly what to look for and how to protect yourself.

What’s Happening

I was recently made aware that a scammer is targeting my clients by pretending to be me and offering additional Wix services. They are sending emails that look urgent, claiming your website needs updates, and then requesting large payments through PayPal.

This is fraud, and I am actively reporting and working to stop it.

How to Verify It’s Really Me

My legitimate business email is:

If you receive anything from a Gmail address, or any address that is not my official domain, it is not from me.

If you are ever unsure, please contact me directly before responding or sending any payment. You can also test the scammer by asking questions that were personal to our project.

Red Flags to Watch For (Please Read)

Here are the most important signs that an email is a scam:

  • The email comes from a Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, or any non‑business domain   (Scammers often use free email accounts to impersonate businesses.)

  • Urgent or threatening language   (“Your site will be deactivated,” “Immediate action required,” “Final warning.”)

  • Requests for large payments through PayPal, e‑transfer, or unfamiliar links

  • Spelling or grammar errors, or wording that doesn’t sound like my usual communication style

  • Emails claiming Wix has contacted me about your account   (Wix does not communicate with designers about clients’ billing or compliance issues.)

  • Attachments or links you weren’t expecting

  • Emails sent at unusual hours or with formatting that looks off

If anything feels “off,” trust your instincts and reach out to me.

A Personal Note

I’m incredibly frustrated that someone is attempting to scam my clients. I take your trust seriously, and I’m doing everything I can to report this impersonator and prevent further incidents.

Thank you for your patience and for staying alert. If you ever receive a suspicious message, please forward it to me so I can verify it and continue building a case against the scammer.
